Thoughts of my childhood transport me back to my grandfather's farm.
That world in the wilderness
in a confusing time
when I used to get lost
in the middle of a nowhere road, laying down on the grass, surrending on the ground,
closing my eyes and letting my mind floating in the landscape
with the sounds of birds and thinking nothing,
just feeling my soul flying free,
far away
some place
of the imaginary heaven,
no pain, no fears, no time,
just infinity and I.
The skulls were my first vision of life and death;
the encounter
with those pieces of almost white beauty,
the hardness of desolation
and the ultimatum call
to understand that
love
will be the sublimation
of those questions
with no answers.
